This series explores gender identities, human-animal interactions, and mass media representations. Photomontages in this series use traditional materials to add complexity and depth, allowing for physical engagement. Charcoal layers create a velvety, deep black, enhancing and obscuring the imagery.

The series blends advertisements and handmade marks, manipulation and destruction, beauty and deformity. It re-contextualizes photographic segments, drawing from my own photographs at times but primarily sourcing from popular magazines. The resulting pieces deconstruct glossy presentations of sexuality and aesthetics found in such publications, offering a surreal and thought-provoking alternative.
